Arrow Valve talks new releases, new games: (Un)Specific release dates

VALVE HAS been going on like something of a broken record of late about how upcoming releases Lost Coast, Day of Defeat, and Aftermath are in the final phases of development for the Source engine and being polished for release. While the latter two aren't quite at the point where it can nail down an exact release date, Valve is expecting to have Lost Coast ready in a couple of weeks.

One of the interesting features Valve has added to Lost Coast is a commentary system, where one will be able to hear first-hand some of the background on the features and choices in Lost Coast from the team responsible for building it. If this is something that goes over well with the community the company promises that it will be adding it into future titles, giving us something of a “Directors commentary” for videogames.

We’re also promised another title to be announced for the Source engine "not developed by Valve" which comes alongside the announcement of the new Might & Magic game a short while ago and SiN 2 which are the first titles in what it would now seem will be many to be developed on the engine. µ
