The dual xeon system is in the list as well. The OS/x probably fully supports the 64 bit processors while windows 32bit OS was used... Lets try the same test with win64bit

just found these test results, same machine tested with windows32 bit and win64bit version:

test..................................32 bit................................64 bit.........

L1 BW:..............................20728.01 MB/s....................27278.16 MB/s
L2 BW:..............................6573.76 MB/s......................8409.88 MB/s
Mem BW:...........................4958.26 MB/s......................4842.18 MB/s
Cipher Benchmark:...............15.13797 seconds................0.01040 sec. 1500 times faster
AES Encryption (Rijndael):.....100.80 MB/s.......................146719.10 MB/s 1400 times faster

Try that apple!

Apple computers are a hell of a lot faster though simply because the OS knows how to handle the hardware. Though, the Mac hardware IS pretty dang good in and of itself.

Try it on gentoo.... that'd be a fair trial for everything, assuming that you compile the stuff right...

I honestly can't tell if that's sarcasm...
The only thing I have experienced issues with under gentoo is video capture with an ATI all in wonder card... Anyways this is just comparing CPU/Ram issues... and gentoo would be a fine choice for comparing that.
